I helped take the brand’s translation workflow from emails of .docx files to a streamlined digital content pipeline with AEM-Projects-driven oversight and built-in approval gates.

Responsibilities

Established localization workflows and review processes across five regions and six languages to support regional direct-to-consumer websites.

Platforms

Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Role

Content Manager

The Smith Optics website is content-rich because its products are highly-specialized and its consumers are discerning. I learned that board-sports consumers are notoriously sensitive to being spoken to by non-participants, so authentic translations were a critical piece of their direct-to-consumer strategy.

To clean up their delivery pipeline, we used AEM Projects to manage the process from brief to translation delivery, and set up translation rules and a translation connector to reduce friction during handoff. Multiple review gates allowed easy editorial review, QA, and category-manager approval.

Product data!

Thousands of products, six languages, and a rich PDP experience. This could not have been done without multi-site manager and a well-defined data model, using content fragments and experience fragments.
